AAIDD Poster Presentation

Despite decades of investments and systems change advocacy, Illinois’ IDD system remains complex, fragmented, and inflexible. In an effort to address some of these challenges, five Illinois statewide organizations came together to form the Illinois IDD System Redesign Coalition, funded by a local foundation . In collaboration with partners, the overarching goal of the project is to orient Illinois towards a more person-centered system for people with IDD. Each organization had their own areas of focus with support from the other organizations. One area that was led by The Arc of Illinois and supported by UIC was data collection around services in the state. The remainder of the poster will describe findings from an online survey on services and supports across the state.
